Remarks by the Awards Judge:
I would like to thank the Connecticut Pastel Society for inviting me to judge this year's annual show. I tried to make my choices based on originality and a high level of skill. In the pieces I chose, I wanted them to show the quality of the pastel medium and not to emulate another medium. I congratulate all the artists included for their hard work.
