"The time I spend in my studio is a journey of understanding and feeling. When the painting conveys my involvement to the viewer I know those hours were well spent."

Millie uniquely uses the pastel medium to portray everyday objects in a new light. Playing lights against shadows and layering color over color she is able to give a three dimensional look and feel to her paintings. By patiently building up layers of pastels she develops the rich textures and colors. She hopes that each new exploration into color and light will give the viewer a deeper understanding of her subjects.

Her pastels have won her numerous awards at these exhibitions, including Best in Show Still Life and First Place and have also been included in Regional shows in Virginia, New Jersey, Connecticut and at Woodmere Museum in Philadelphia.
She is an instructor at Center for the Arts in southern New Jersey and Perkins Center for the Arts, Moorestown, New Jersey.
Her Work is represented by galleries in Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Signature member of Pastel Society of Connecticut and Pastel Society of North Florida.
