Having spent my childhood in the Hudson River Valley and on the south shore of Long Island, and as a Ridgefield, CT resident for the past 27 years, I focus on painting landscapes and vignettes of local scenes from those areas. My still life paintings tend to be studies of found objects stones, seashells, and local flora and faunain their natural settings. I have had the privilege of studying plein aire painting with several pastel artists including Doug Dawson, Christine Debrosky, Stanley Maltzman and Bob Rohm. I was honored to have my paintings included in numerous shows and exhibitions in 2007, including: The Connecticut Pastel Society 14th Annual National Juried Exhibition Renaissance In Pastel; Maryland Pastel Societys Shades of Pastel National Juried Show (Pastel Society of America Award of Merit); Pastel Society of America 35th Annual Exhibition for Pastels Only; Art Society of Old Greenwichs Annual Sidewalk Show (Dianne B.
