From his studio and home in Rye Brook, NY, John specializes in Fine Art Pastel and Oil Paintings, Limited Print Reproductions and Photographic Digital Imaging and Restoration services. His art work focuses on landscapes and seascapes along our shores of the east cost. In addition he provides portrait commissions as requested. |
| John studied art at the Arts Students League and The School of Visual Arts in New York City and has been a student of nationally known portrait and pastel painters, including Robert Brackman, John Howard Sanden and Daniel Green. He continues his study of Art at the Westchester Art Workshop with Andrew Lattimore. John’s paintings were included in the following Art Exhibits In 2005 The Mamaroneck Artists’ Guild Small Works Exhibit Marsh Conservancy Art Exhibit The Community Arts Association at Ridgewood Fine Arts Institute Exhibit The Connecticut Pastel Society‘s Annual Exhibit Larchmont Historical Society’s Art Exhibit The Academy of Fine Arts of Connecticut Exhibit in Mystic Pastel Painter’s Society of Cape Cod Annual Exhibit The Woodstock School of Art Annual Exhibit The Art Society of Old Greenwich Annual Show The Pastel Society of America‘s Annual Show The Connecticut Pastel Society’s Annual ‘Renaissance in Pastel’ show In 2006 The Ridgewood Fine Arts Institute’s Annual Exhibit Iona College & Mamaroneck Artists Guild’s Art Exhibit Mamaroneck Artists’ Guild Small Works Exhibit Greenwich Arts Council Annual Art Exhibit John teaches Pastel Painting at Mamaroneck High School‘s continuing education program. He is treasurer of the Connecticut Pastel Society, and member of the Mamaroneck Artists’ Guild, and the Art Society of Old Greenwich. He is also planning a Pastel Painter's Workshop at the Marshlands Conversancy in Rye, NY. |
