Bridget Herbst teaches and demonstrates pastel both in and out of her studio. Her figures in Oil have been exhibited in numerous shows including the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club 105th Annual Open Juried Exhibition at the National Arts Club in NYC. Ms. Herbst served for six years on the Board of Directors at Kent Art Association where she is also an Elected Artist and former Exhibition Chairperson. Bridget has been the Workshop Coordinator for the Franklin Alexander Workshops in Woodstock, NY for seven years. She became a member of the Degas Pastel Society in 2004 at the invitation of the organization’s Board of Directors. She was also juried into Signature Membership of the Connecticut Pastel Society in 2005. Bridget has been juried into three (3) of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club’s national shows within the past six years and has been juried in as a Full Member of CLWAC as of November 2005 “Paint what you love. Know the tools of your medium and they will serve you well. Use your skills every single day and they will multiply exponentially. Most of all, enjoy what you’re doing- even the difficult, frustrating aspects. After all, what could be more fulfilling and exhilarating than being an artist?!” |
